It’s December

Not only is it December, but it’s nearly Christmas already. Which means it’s nearly January and 2026!

I haven’t -as usual- been as productive as I would have liked to have been, but I’ve been making steps. After all, it was one small step that got us on the moon. Assuming we actually went, that is.

I switched projects again recently and will be talking about it more soon. Prior to that, I was making interesting progress with the Lycan/Vampyr story. It’s getting deeper and more complex and I’m excited to see where it goes. I’ll be looking at posting the first of many short stories in the coming months.

Fallout

Fallout Season 2 has finally started and to celebrate I got obsessed with the memorabilia. New blue light glasses with case was first up, an impulse buy from an Instagram ad. I need to stop going on there. And leaving the house and opening my eyes.

Mainly though, I was looking at the McFarlane figures and Funko Pops. I’ve developed a bit of a Funko collection but I’m getting half-sick of them. Not to say that I don’t like them, I just may be losing interest in growing the collection in favour of something more detail-oriented.

Unfortunately, that also means a larger price tag. I’m hoping that encourages me to be more selective. For now I’ll make do with the Ghoul and the T-60 Elite Edition…

I placed the order for them during the writing of this blog, and received a notification that the order was shipped before I finished, so I already rate The Whole Shebang very highly! And the shipping was free!

I picked up New Vegas and Fallout 3, thanks to the Xbox store sale (though it’s also included on Premium Game Pass) though I have been sliding back into 4 on PS5. I picked up a steel book for the game disc a while back and updated the PS4 version for free. I’m hoping the DLC is still included but haven’t looked into it yet. I hadn’t played them much but I did complete the original game. I’ve been enjoying exploring again though from the beginning. I just joined the Brotherhood of Steel!

Blu-Rays

On top of that, those bloody arseholes over at Arrow decided now was a great time to have another sale. And seeing as after watching Sorcerer, I was in a William Friedkin/Roy Scheider exploration, I picked up 52 Pick-up and Cruising. I had also been reading about The Hunt some time ago so grabbed that, and along with the Psycho: The Story Continues boxset I called it a day.

Following my watch of Sorcerer, I took in the William Friedkin documentary included in the extras: Friedkin Uncut. From there I finally watched The Exorcist and endeavoured to check out more of his movies, as well as the first adaptation of the Wages of Fear.

On a day previously, I continued my Boris Karloff collection with Die, Monster, Die! and Frankenstein 1970. Targets is a great film (not to mention the original Frankenstein) and after watching it recently I needed to take in some more Karloff.

And I continued my Nolan collection as well, with one of my favourites: Memento. I’ve watched it a couple of times at least already, and so was waiting patiently for the Blu-ray to go back on sale after missing the last one last year. I didn’t miss this one.

Pens

I added my first Pelikan with a blue INEO. It came by default with a medium nib. It writes very smoothly and has a nice weight to it. Most other Pelikans are quite a distance out of my pen budget so at most there’ll be more colours of INEO added.
