Hey all,
I came across an old, defunct website of mine and read what turned out to be the only wrestling post of a potential ongoing blog-effort. I thought it aged quite well so thought I’d share it here!
It’s from 8th February 2021:-
Wrestling Round Up #1 8th February 2021
Hello! This is the first Wrestling Round Up entry here at FORMER URL DELETED. Let me explain what you should expect.
Whatever wrestling I happen to watch within any given week, I’ll put down my thoughts and bash it all into a single post: the Wrestling Round Up. It’s a pretty simple concept really, isn’t it?
I haven’t watched much this week, even less since I decided to start jotting down my thoughts on it! So this week will simply be about…
WWE Smackdown, Friday 5th February 2021.
Great opening segment from Roman Reigns. Edge disrespecting him by going to Raw and NXT was very fitting and I instantly forgot about the Edge/Balor/Dunne excitement and wanted Reigns vs Edge. Job done. Reigns is fantastic.
Baron Corbin is excellent, he has such a strong character and you can’t help but hate the guy. Especially when he’s pounding on a little kid like Dominik Mysterio. Dominik has a way to go but he’s definitely got a future. Being of his stature going up against a guy like Corbin, he should really be putting his weight behind those pins more, fighting for that win. Luckily his daddy got involved.
Daniel Bryan and Cesaro. What needs to be said here? Phenomenal. Full of counters as they constantly tried to outdo each other. Could have gone either way. Could have gone all night. A gruesome cloverleaf sealed the deal for Cesaro.
Bianca Belair is a star on the rise. She’s taking her time to make the bEST decision for her at Wrestlemania.
I’m a big fan of both Bayley and Ruby Riott so I enjoyed this one. And I always love to see Billie Kay and her antics. DISGUSTING lawn dart into the corner from Bayley. I’m really loving aggressive Bayley and this new finishing manoeuvre. Is it new? I haven’t watched in a bit and Cole didn’t have a name for it.
Run-of-the-mill Triple Threat, but I love myself the Intercontinental Championship. The ‘new’ design has warmed on me somewhat, but it’s still in 3rd place.
EDGE. I’d like to see Edge mess with Reigns a little more and pick someone else to face at Wrestlemania. Reigns is prompted to steal the show and brutalise his opponent as a message to Edge, and they face off at a later date.

The voyage ahead would be Captain Brendan Utnytter’s last. – Read Human Cargo #1 here
